Monique,

Thank you for mentioning this. One of the great benefits for doing this Hoagy Carmichael series is that I was able to find and include some wonderful musical treasures. I'm glad you enjoyed the tune.
Best wishes,
Ed

Thank you too, Michael.
Had to look up "explication" to make sure I knew the meaning.
Best,

Ken,
Thanks for paying attention.
Interestingly enough, there is a folk /country/blue grass song with the same name (they like sharp keys). That song, however, has no connection to the Hoagy standard.
Challenges produce learn & learning produces musical growth. This brings energy and inspiration.
Thanks again for your own creative energy which is an inspiration to me.

Beautiful Ed! I don't think I've every heard that one before. You certainly don't miss the trio when you are playing. Whenever I see songs in sharp keys, I assume that they either started out as pop guitar songs (usually in G,A,E or D), are in that key to fit a specific singer's range, or are just made to make my life miserable. I guess sometimes the best sounding key for what the composer is trying to accomplish just happens to be sharp. Wonderful sound
